Torrance
Swim Torrance is a USA Swimming competitive team that trains out of
the Victor E. Benstead Plunge facility located at 3331 Torrance
Boulevard in Torrance, California.
The Swim Torrance Mission is to inspire and motivate our member
athletes to discover their full potential as individuals and
athletes through advanced training, experience, and coach mentoring
within a positive competitive swimming environment.
Swim Torrance offers a structured program at the pre-competitive
and competitive levels that accommodates and balances the diverse
needs of our member families. Our highly qualified coaching staff
provides professional instruction, innovative training techniques
and essential goal setting exercises that together instill a
culture where high self esteem, personal accountability and self
motivation are possible whether it be at the beginner or national
championship level.
Swim Torrance is a non-profit 501©3 corporation that is
governed by a parent member elected Board of Directors. Annual Club
Membership Fees, Member Dues, Business Sponsorship, and Fundraising
activities are used to fund coach compensation, pool rental fees,
and the purchase of any necessary training tools and equipment.
As a non-profit organization, Swim Torrance is grateful for the
active ongoing participation and support of its member families who
contribute to our success through their countless volunteer hours,
engagement in our operational structure, and adherence to our team
policies and procedures.
The Swim Torrance philosophy recognizes that it takes a village to
make that splash towards excellence. To that end, we encourage
maximum involvement from all of our members and member families to
create an environment where success is inevitable.
