Welcome to the Illinois Valley Y.M.C.A. Dolphin Swim
Team!
The ILVY Dolphin Swim Team, located in the north central part of
Illinois, is sponsored by the Illinois Valley YMCA, 300 Walnut
Drive, in Peru. Swim practice sites are at the Illinois Valley
YMCA in Peru and the Hennepin Park District Swimming Pool
in Hennepin (our home swim meets are held at the IV YMCA).
Current swimmers on the team reside in Peru, Spring Valley,
LaSalle, Mendota, Hennepin, Granville, Ladd, Wenona, and Varna. The
team swims dual meets and invitationals with various other swim
teams in the northern Illinois area, including Rockford,
Streator, Kewanee, Ottawa, Dixon, Crystal Lake(McHenry),
DeKalb(Kishwaukee), and Belvidere. We send swimmers to the Junior
Districts, Districts, State and Regional Championships with a goal
of making it to the National YMCA Championships!
True to the YMCA principles of a healthy spirit, mind and body, we
are dedicated to the building of team spirit, involvement of the
family in every aspect of the experience, and to the training and
instruction of swimmers from ages 6-18 in the area of competitive
swimming.
