NTSC
New Trier Swim Club (NTSC) is a not for profit age group swim team
affiliated with New Trier High School. The NTSC is a registered
member of USA Swimming and Illinois Swimming. Founded in the
1980’s, the NTSC has produced many state champions, and has
consistently placed in the top 5 of all teams in the state of
Illinois. The NTSC is committed to excellence in swimming for all
of its members. We have a dedicated coaching staff and a supportive
parent board that work together to create a positive atmosphere for
all our swimmers.
Members of the New Trier Swim Club range in age from 6 through
college swimmers. The NTSC provides instruction, training and
competition at a level appropriate for the age and ability level of
the swimmer. We train all swimmers, from the novice to the national
level competitor.
Year-round programs are
offered in a controlled competitive environment for all swimming
abilities. Our swimmers thrive in a training atmosphere that
promotes respect for others, nurtures high self esteem, and fine
tunes physical fitness.
Before swimmers can register for the NTSC, they must be evaluated
by our coaching staff and accepted for registration. This enables
our coaches to place swimmers in the appropriate practice group.
Tryouts are held in April and August, prior to the start of the
Long Course and Short Course seasons. Notice of the tryout date is
posted on our web site well in advance.
When a young person becomes a member of the New Trier Swim Club
they learn the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Swimming with
the NTSC can provide physical, emotional and intellectual skills
that will last a lifetime.
Subject to capacity and other considerations, the membership of
the NTSC is open to any swimmer in the New Trier Township, and if
the NTSC so decides, any other swimmer may be considered for

Practices are held at New Trier High School, New Trier Northfield
Campus, The Playdium in Glenview, Loyola Academy and at the
Centennial Outdoor Pool in Wilmette. Practice times and team fees
will vary depending on the ability level of the swimmer.
