Coach Branon is in his 2nd year with Maverick Aquatics and 4th year of coaching overall. Primarily working with the Red and Gold groups, he has guided athletes to divisional and state cuts as well as multiple new team records!
Before MVA, he served two long course seasons as an assistant coach for the Frankfort Site of Sugar Creek Swim Club. While there he had the opportunity to work with swimmers of all ages and abilities including state and zone qualifiers. He also spent three years with the Frankfort Swim Club in a variety of roles including Head Coach.
He swam competitively for nine years as a member of SCSC and Frankfort Swim Club. During his senior year, he trained under Coach Cox as a member of Maverick Aquatics. Branon was a 4-year varsity letter winner at Frankfort High School where he served as a team captain and garnered all-conference recognition.
Branon is currently a junior at Purdue University majoring in Business Management.
Coach Frog is in her 2nd year for coaching at MVA. She also coached green and purple groups last summer for McCutcheon Swim Club. She will be coaching the green, yellow, and white groups at Parkwest this year. Coach Frog has also taught swim lessons for the past 3 years. Coach Frog is currently a senior at McCutcheon High School. She also is a full time swimmer for MVA and McCutcheon High School where she is a team captain. Her favorite stroke is breastroke and the individual medley. Her favorite event is the 100 breastroke. Coach Frog also enjoys running and pet frogs, Conan and Rambo.
Danielle is a senior at McCutcheon High School where she is the Co-Captain of the MHS swim team. She has swam competitively since about 7 years old and her two favorite strokes are backstroke and freestyle. Danielle's favorite event is the 100 freestyle which she hold the MHS school record in, as well as the 100 back. Danielle's favorite class is World Literature and she currently works at The Pink Walrus. Danielle plans to swim in college next year and loves Chinese food. J
Coach Karen is a junior at McCutcheon High School. She has been swimming competitively since 8 years old and is currently swimming for MVA and the MHS high school team. Coach Karen will be coaching mostly Tuesdays and Thursdays this season with Green and assisting with White. Karen coached MVA green group last year and has coached MSC green and purple groups. Karen has taught swim lessons for 2 years. Her favorite stroke is butterfly and her favorite events are the 100 and 200 butterfly. Karen enjoys biking, running and loves eating Chinese food and chocolate ice cream
