Coaching Staff

All LAMVAC coaches are member coaches with USA Swimming.  They have Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid and Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification.  The have completed USA Swimming Athlete Protection Training and Fundamentals of Coaching and have had a background check. The Head Coach and Senior Coach also have ASCA membership.

LAMVAC coaches are happy to meet with swimmers and parents, as long as it does not interrupt practice. Check the coaches' schedule to find out where and when to meet with a specific coach.

Jonathan Ho

Age Group Coach

Email

Jonathan Ho has been part of the LAMVAC family since 2010.  Jon started as a beginner Tadpole and continued to progress all the way to the Junior training group.  Jon prefers to swim the long-distance events over short sprints.  Having a strong endurance base allowed Jon to excel in open-water competitions, which are now his favorite type of competition.  After three years as a Junior level swimmer, Jon decided to be a swimming coach. But he continues his swim training in the mornings with the Masters group.  He coaches the Tadpoles and Piranhas and provides assistance in the Tiger Shark group.   Outside of the pool, Jon has a particular interest in food and plans to study Food Science at the University of California, Davis.  He takes classes at Foothill College  when he is not swimming or coaching.
