Olga Splichalova Espinosa

Head Coach - Seniors (S)

Olga has been with the St. Croix Swim Club since the club was formed in 2000. She coaches the Senior group and is responsible for overseeing all levels and managing the club. Prior to coaching at SCSC, Olga worked with Edina Gators, Park Center High School as a head coach for two years and Omni Swim Club. A competitive swimmer herself, Olga was a part of the Czech National Team for 11 years, a two-time Olympian - 1992 (6th place finish) and 1996, a European Champion. She is a Czech national record holder as well as world record holder, and a 1993 World Cup winner. Olga is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a member of U of M Gophers, a Big Ten Champion, an NCAA All American, and a U of M Hall of Fame Inductee. She is married, has a daughter Isabel and lives in St. Paul. 

Erin Anderson

Assistant coach - Juniors (J)

Erin has been a member of the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff since the fall of 2006. Erin has been coaching USS clubs (Nhcp, Star, NLA and Tsunami) since 1985 and also coached high school teams at Edison, Park Center and Osseo (both girls and boys), country club teams, and health club teams.  She swam for Golden Gophers for four years, was named All-American, and graduated in 1985 with a BS in physiology.  As a competitive swimmer, her specialties were the 200 IM and the 100/200 freestyle events.  Erin has earned ASCA level 5 certification.  Erin’s greatest swimming/athletic accomplishment is finishing the Iron-man triathlon in 2004.  She has two wonderful children, Kaela and Brady, who follow her to the pool.

Marybeth Rosell

Marybeth has been a member of the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff since 2001. Marybeth grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended Southern Methodist University on a swim scholarship. Marybeth moved to Minnesota in 1993 and began teaching Red Cross swimming lessons at the River Valley Athletic Club in Stillwater. She continues to teach both group and private lessons there and helps out with recruiting swimmers for SCSC from that program. She is a mother of three boys, Adam, Connor and Brennan, who all swim for SCSC.  Marybeth still swims in a masters swim program.

Tara Noer

Assistant coach - Silver Rays (SR)

Tara Noer joined the St. Croix Swim Club coaching staff in the fall of 2007. Tara began her competitive swimming career at age five when she was a member of the Hastings Aquanauts in Hastings, MN. She later joined the South East Metro Sharks (SEMS) in Woodbury, MN. Tara continued her swimming career throughout high school and competed at the Minnesota State Championships as well as many national swim events. She earned athletic and academic scholarships to attend the University of Minnesota where her main events were the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 200 and 500 freestyle. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Biology and continues to swim and compete in local triathlons. In addition to coaching at SCSC, Tara is also the Aquatic Director and Junior Swim Team coach at River Valley Athletic Club. She is married, has three children, and lives in Stillwater.  

Stephen D Miller

Steve has been involved with competitive swimming for over 13 years. Originally from Windham, NH, Steve spent his first two years of collegiate swimming at Rutgers University, before transferring to the University of Minnesota.  As a Gopher, Steve was a four-time All-American, Team Captain, School Record Holder, U.S. Open Finalist, and Big Ten Record Holder.  Steve has also competed at very high-level meets including Big Ten Championships, NCAA Championships, USA Swimming National and U.S. Open Championships, and the U.S. Olympic Trials. Currently, Steve is finishing his undergraduate degree at the U of M and continues to train and compete with the University team. In his free time, Steve enjoys movies, camping, fishing, and working out.
