OFFICE HOURS for the Lead Coaches are Monday thru Friday, 1:00-3:00 PM
We welcome your communication! We encourage families to contact the staff during office hours to receive the most prompt reply. Communication outside of office hours is great too - although response time may not be as swift as during office hours.

Jason D Roberts

Head Coach, National & SR Lead Coach


Coach Jason Roberts joins the staff after working 17 years with the Northern Kentucky Clippers. During his time with the Clippers he accumulated a great deal of success taking the program from a locally competitive program in the Ohio LSC to a nationally competitive program. Jason is looking forward to a great deal of fast swimming as the Head Coach of Team Foxjet.
Jason is married to his beautiful wife, Branden and has two step-children (Hannah and Sam). He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. Below are Jason’s coaching career by the numbers:

Lloyd Larsen

Associate Head Coach



Lloyd has been coaching nearly 30 years.
This is his 16th year (31st season) with Team Foxjet. Lloyd is an ASCA Certified Level 5 Coach. He has coached swimmers from the youngest levels through Junior Nationals, US Open and US Nationals. Lloyd has coached over 100 National Age Group Top 16 or Top 10 Final Rankings, including several National Age Group Champions and National Age Group Record Holders. Earlier in his career Lloyd coached at clubs in California, South Carolina and Iowa. He was honored in 2007 and 2009 by the American Swimming Coaches Association (national office) as Minnesota Age Group Coach of The Year. USA Swimming also selected him as an assistant coach for the elite Central Zone Select Camp. Lloyd was also an accomplished athlete with many years of swimming with AAU, Edina High School, St. Olaf College and post-collegiate swimming in the military. At St. Olaf, he was an MIAC Conference Champion, NCAA Division III National Qualifier and Co-Captain.

Lloyd believes that developing life skills and fostering personal growth are the key roles of youth athletics. As Associate Head Coach, in addition to his coaching duties with our National Age Group program, he also serves as our Team Administrator.

Ryan Clausman

AG Silver Lead Coach


This is Coach Ryan's 4th year (8th season) with Team Foxjet.  Ryan has coached country club, high school, and masters swimming along with his club coaching. Immediately after college he started coaching for the Edina Swim Club and then made his way to be Head Age Group Coach at Team Foxjet.

Under Ryan's guidance athletes have achieved:

>  Numerous National Age group Top 16 swims
>  200+ Central Zones Qualifying Times
>  2 individuals going on to win Zone Championships
>  4 out of 6 Age Group Team State Championships as Head Age Group Coach
>  Minnesota Age Group Coach of The Year 1998

Recently Ryan has been coaching swimming for over 20 years, while raising 3 beautiful children with his wife Mellanie. When Ryan isn’t on deck he enjoys kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, skiing and music.

Chris J Mayer

Lead 8/Under Coach


This is Coach Chris' 8th year (15th season) with Team Foxjet.  We are very excited to announce his return to our staff!  Chris worked as a Foxjet coach for seven years before taking a small break from coaching. For the past four years Coach Chris has been coaching at another club. He is excited to return as our 8/Under Lead Coach, developing our newest swimmers and expanding our programming!

Chris began his coaching career in 1990, graduating with a B.F.A. from the College of Visual Arts in 1994. He worked for Deaton Museum Services as a fabrication artist for a few years designing and building movie sets, including “Fargo.” He also worked on the Reagan Library, a life-sized fully automated dinosaur museum in Nebraska and all of the moving butterflies located in the Rainforest Cafés around the globe. Since 2000, he has taught Art at St. Bartholomew Elementary School in Wayzata.  He is looking forward to bringing his wealth of knowledge and expertise with younger swimmers to our team.

Courtney Silva

AG Bronze 1 Lead Coach


This is Courtney’s 2nd "official" year (4th season) with Team Foxjet, but she was also an assistant coach for 5 summer seasons while home from college previously.   

Courtney began swimming competitively at the age of 5. She is originally from Seattle, Wash. and moved to the Twin Cities in 2007. She joined Team Foxjet at that time and swam with them through high school. She is a graduate of Minnetonka High School, Class of 2011.  

Courtney then went on to compete at the DII collegiate level at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn. While at Southern, Courtney earned All-Conference Top-8 Finishes for the Northeast-10 Conference all 4 years in breaststroke, butterfly and IM. She was also a Top-3 Finisher her senior year in the 200 butterfly and the 400 IM. Courtney graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Communications Video Production and Photography.  

She is currently a student at St. Paul College, where she is earning her American Sign Language Studies Certification. Courtney enjoys swimming still -- as she is an athlete for a local Masters program. She is a 3-Time USMS National Champion with that program. Courtney also loves spending time with her family and her dog.

Traci Maccoux

AG Bronze 2 Lead, Social Media Director


This is Traci's 3rd year (5th season) with Team Foxjet. She swam competitively from ages 8-18, with club teams like Mach 3 Flyers, as well as Wayzata’s Varsity High School Team. From ages 8-18 she competed in all State meets, and got 2nd overall at age 11. Ages 9-14 she qualified for Zones. Her best events are the 50 and 100 freestyle, and she still enjoys swimming both on her own and with Masters programs!

She brings a broad range of developmental experience to the program with her swimming experience, her YMCA swim instruction, and 12+ years of teaching private lessons to all age swimmers. Traci is our Lead Developmental Coach and in charge of all 8/Under programming at Foxjets. Her knowledge and passion for coaching 8/Unders is readily apparent in our younger groups!

- USA National Team members competing  at Pan Pacs, Pan-Am Games, and World University.
- Coached Gold and Bronze Paralympic Athletes at the 2008, 2012 Paralympics Games
- Coached multiple Paralympic athletes to American, Pan American, Pan-Pac, and World Records.
- 2016-17 Fall-Winter season he lead a group of forty 8 & under's with no “A” Times to having 30.

Nancy Nelson

Assistant Coach ISM, Minifox, Red


Nancy started swimming when she was 8 years old, where she swam with Brooklyn Swim Club and Park Center High School from grades 9-12.  She swam at four Junior National swim meets during her USA swimming career, and attended UND where she swam on a scholarship. Her favorite events were the 400IM, the 500 Free and the 1650. Nancy has been a swimmer, a swim parent, and a coach. She works with the 8/Unders here at Foxjets, and was a Swim America instructor for two years. She was also an official, and did meet entries for the Mach 3 Flyers swim club. 

Brian Nagel

AG Bronze Assistant Coach


This is Brian's 7th year (14th season) with Team Foxjet. He brings 16 years of coaching experience in Minnesota swimming. He was also the Bloomington Jefferson High School Girls assistant coach for two years. Before beginning his coaching career in 1998, Brian swam competively for 15 years with the Richfield Swim Club, Barracuda Aquatics Club and the Bloomington Kenndy High School for four years.  He was also a member of the Team Minnesota Zone coaching staff in 2007.  Brian believes that perfecting technique and individual effort, coupled with team support, will give the swimmer a long successful swimming career.

Jenny Heidt

Director of Dryland, AG Assistant


This is Jenny's 4th year (8th season) as our Director of Dryland and assisting with Age Groups. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about injury prevention, particularly with swimmers. Jenny is a former NCAA Division II National Champion (100 Backstroke, 2004). She knows the aches and pains swimmers go through to reach their goals.  Her goal now is to work with swimmers to develop muscle balance with strength and flexibility to allow them to compete to their fullest potential. Jenny is a chiropractor, and owns Midwest Chiropractic and Wellness in Eden Prairie. She is an industry leader in injury-prevention and strength development. In her free time Jenny enjoys running (and still swimming!).

Tasha Lyn Embry

Red Groups, Minifox Assistant Coach


This is Tasha's 5th year (10th season) coaching with Team Foxjet. She works with Minifox, Red Groups and Age Group Bronze. Tasha is very experienced with our develepmental program and an expert coach for younger swimmers. Tasha comes to us from Martha Burns Swim School (where she still works) teaching swimming for several years. An all-around athlete, she was a competitve swimmer and gymnast at Hopkins High School. Tasha has also worked with the YMCA, at two locations, teaching swimming lessons and working with kids. She is a great teacher, motivator and communicator with young children.

Andrea Kroll

AG Assistant Coach


This is Andrea’s 9th year (18th season) with Team Foxjet. She has always been called "Andi" on the pool deck. She is an ASCA Certified Level 2 coach. Andi has ten years of swimming experience as an athlete. She swam in Grand Forks, ND and East Grand Forks, MN, and was the first East Grand Forks Senior high school swimmer in a co-op between North Dakota and Minnesota. Andi comes from a swimming family, where her three younger siblings all swam and her parents still volunteer and officiate. Andi first fell in love with coaching at Northern Area Swim Association in Bemidji, while attending college there. She most enjoys teaching technique and helping swimmers develop their love of the sport.

Ariel Horowitz

Assistant Coach - All Groups


This is Ariel's 11th year (21st season) with Team Foxjet, all of which have been coaching with our Age Group program. Ariel is the longest-tenured assistant coach for Age Groups in the history of the Foxjets, and does a superb job with this skill level and age. Over 200 swimmers that have come through the Age Groups during her tenure have achieved a Minnesota Swimming State Meet "Champ" time at some point before the age of 13. She is a graduate of Kenyon College (Ohio) where she was a four-year letterwinner and team captain. During her thirteen years of swimming experience, Ariel gave private summer swimming lessons to children for seven years in and around her home town of Pacific Palisades in Southern California. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and works for Wells Fargo.
