Samuel Andrew Gaddie
Sam Gaddie began his coaching career as a High School coach in Memphis Tennessee, where he was born and raised. While in Memphis, he worked as head coach for Arlington, Bartlett, and Houston High Schools' swim teams, an assistant coach for the Bluff City Blue Fins (a Summer League team), and an assistant coach for Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club (a USA Swimming team).
Sam worked directly with Thunder’s Senior Group. In his time with Thunder, the team was able to consistently grow and send swimmers to all levels of college swimming. By the time he left Thunder, the team had improved their National Club Ranking from 247th to 129th in Long Course Meters and 313th to 222nd in Short Course Yards.
After 3.5 years with Thunder, Sam moved on as a head age group coach for the Rappahannock Stingrays in Fredericksburg, VA. While with the Rays, Sam coached several age group swimmers and relays to National Top 16 rankings and Virginia Swimming LSC records.
Thomas James DePasquale
Tom is a Buffalo native who has swam in the area his entire life. Starting his competitive swimming career at the age of 10, he has finished his college swimming career at Buffalo State College in 2017. At Buffalo State he earned two team records, one in the 200 Butterfly (1.59.8) and the other he was part of the 400 medley relay swimming the butterfly leg (51.8) in the 2017 season.
Tom coaches a Masters team that he began working with in college and has many years of Red Cross lesson instructing experience. With all of his experiences over the years, Tom is willing to teach anyone who is willing to learn and get better.
Tryout Evaluator & Assistant Coach
Brandi comes to BAAC with a long and successful history of coaching swimming all across the country. She has had the opportunity to work with excellent teams, coaches and swimmers of every skill level, from beginners to Olympic Trial qualifiers.
Starting her competitive swimming career at the age of six, Brandi eventually joined the Blue Fins Swim Team in San Diego, CA. It is here that she began coaching, working with the Novice training group before becoming Lead Age Group Coach, Masters Coach and office assistant for the Santa Barbara Swim Club, all while attending college at UC Santa Barbara. Brandi went on to coach for clubs in both New Jersey and Buffalo, working with a variety of Age Group and Senior swimmers, before joining BAAC's staff in 2014. She has also coached triathletes and Masters Swimmers at the Southtowns YMCA.
Brandi is married to Andy Bashor, the Head Coach at the University of Buffalo, and together they have three children - Allie, Bobby & Colby - along with a dog named Speedo. Brandi embraces an active lifestyle, playing outside with her family as much as possible. She is also a member of the Finish Strong Elite Northeast Cycling Team.
Michael R Dugan
Mike has worked with BAAC since 2014. He has previously taught swim lessons and served as a counselor at the University at Buffalo's Swim Camp.
Raised in Schenectady, New York, he grew his love for the sport of swimming while competing for the Albany Starfish and Mohonasen High School. Mike attended the University at Buffalo, competing for the swim team from 2010-2014. During this time, he broke school records in the 50 Free (19.84), 100 Butterfly (47.32), and all three freestyle relays.
Mike earned a degree from UB’s Physics Education graduate program and is currently teaching physics at Lancaster High School.
