I started my swimming career at the age of 7 and quickly gained the title of State Champion in the 50 free and 50 backstroke. I spent my age group swimming career on a USS swim team in Rhode Island swimming all strokes and distances. I was a Nationally ranked top ten swimmer in the 100, 200 free, and 1500 meter Freestyle, the100 and 200 backstroke, 100 and 200 Fly and the 400 IM. In High School I was New England Prep School champion in the 100 Fly and 200 IM.I was a Division 1 swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania earning a Varsity Letter all four years. After graduating with a degree in International Relations I coached a USS age group team to State Championsfive years in a row. I simultaneously coached a high school team with 2 swimmers earning National High School rankings in the 500 Free and 100 fly 2 years in a row. After going back to graduate school and earning an M.Ed in special education, I began my career as a special education teacher, specializing in working with children with autism. During that time, I coached privately focusing on stroke technique with various age group teams. I brought the two disciplines together by teaching many of my students with autism to swim. Most recently, I coached at the Ben Franklin Swim Club helping to bring them to an undefeated season in their division. I also coached privately and continue to do so. I am very happy to be coaching withthe Stingrays and look forward to many fun and successful years coaching with this team.

I was raised in this area and have swam and coached with a few different clubs. I learned to swim at Penn Brook in Pennington, and then started swimming year-round with the Hamilton Aquatics Club. I was a member of the Hopewell Varsity Swim Team all four years of High School, and I had the honor of being captain my Senior Year. For five summers, I was a swim coach at Penn Brook, with 2 of the seasons being the Assistant Head Coach. Outside of Penn Brook I taught swim lessons with the YMCA, and I helped coach Pennington Aquatics in 2010. I swam in college for two years at UNC Greensboro, and now that I have moved back to the area I am very excited to be back in the swimming world and to be coaching the Pennington Stingrays!
