Director of Competive Swimming/Head Coach
Jeremy
joined the program in 1997. He was the Head Silver coach and
National Assistant from 1997-1999. From 2000-2002 he was the
head gold coach. In 2003 he became the Director of
Competitive Swimming/Head Coach.
Jeremy has developed Olympic trial, USA National,
Junior National, and
YMCA National qualifiers. Swimmer’s under his
direction have been members of the USA National Junior
Team. His swimmers have been YMCA National Champions,
High School State Champions, and Age Group State
Champions.
Jeremy was selected as an assistant coach for the 2005 USA Swimming
National Select camp. He was awarded the Southwest Cluster Coach of
the year award in 1998 and also Ohio Swimming Senior Coach of
the year in 2006.
Jeremy’s swimming career started with the Hillenbrand
Aquatics in Tucson, Az. He was an Arizona High State Champion and
record holder. Jeremy went on to swim at the University of
Cincinnati where he was a four year varsity letter
winner.
Keith Ferrara

Head Age Group Coach/Head White II Coach
Keith has been a coach with the Anderson Barracudas since
1991. He has served as 13 and over coach for all of those
years. Keith has developed several top 16 Nationally ranked
swimmers as well as State Age Group Champions, State High School
qualifiers and YMCA National Qualifiers. Recently, he
was named as one of the Ohio Zone coaches for the 2008 Long Course
Season. He is married to Kathy and they have two daughters
who both participate on the team. This year he will continue
to take on the added responsibility as the team’s Head Age
Group Coach.
Cathi Sander

Team Administrator/Assistant White II Coach
Cathi has been with ABLY for the last 11 years. Most
recently she served as the assistant to Keith in the White II group
this past year. She has been both the head
9/10 coach and assistant 9/10 coach as well as the head 11/12
White Coach. Cathi began as head coach at both Ursuline
Academy and Moeller High School, as well as Head Age Group Coach at
Blue Ash YMCA before coaching at the Barracudas. She is
currently the Team Administrator and Assistant White II coach.
She swam competitively for more than 12 years, the last 3 with
the Cincinnati Marlins. She then went on to play water polo for 3
years and swim one year at Indiana University under the great Doc
Councilman.
Cathi and her husband, Todd, live in Anderson and have 3
children all of whom have participated or are currently
swimming with AB.
Tim Hart

Head Blue Coach
Tim is back for another year coaching the 11 and 12 Blue Group,
his 7th year overall with ABLY. Tim is a graduate of the
University of Cincinnati where he swam for his four years
there. He swam competitively in England where he is a former
member of the English World Team. He has had great success coaching
this age group as represented by the team records and individual
successes from his individuals. Tim is married and he and his
wife Julie have two children. They reside in Anderson
Township.
C.J. Rushman

Head Barracuda Coach
C.J. joined the AB program in 1996, as the co-founder and
first Masters Coach and Pre-Competitive coach. He has 18 years of
progressive coaching positions where he demonstrated success
including Junior National, Top 16 individual and relay, age group
sectional, zone and state record champion swimmers. He
started in competitive swimming at 6 years old and has a list of
impressive personal swimming accomplishments through his college
days at University of Cincinnati where he was a four year
member of their varsity swimming team and member of their National
Independent Conference Team Champions in 1992 and 1993. He is a
Swimming Official, both for the YMCA and USA. He still continues to
compete at the Masters level. He is a five time US Masters
All-American and has won 15 YMCA Masters Titles. In 2009, at the
United States Sports Convention in Chicago, he was elected as the
US Masters National Secretary. He also currently is the Vice
Chair for Masters Swimming in Ohio.
Patty Kimutis

Head Junior Barracuda Coach
Patty will be entering her 8th year of coaching with the
Barracudas. She has spent the last 7 years with the 10 and
unders and will continue in this role. She swam competitively
for 13 years and completed her swimming career after one year of
college swimming. Patty graduated from the University of Iowa
where she received her degree in Nursing. Patty is married to
her husband Michael and resides with their 3 children in Anderson
Township. Her fourth child is a Junior at Miami
University. All four of her children have been a part of ABLY
with the 3 youngest still in the program.
Lisa Rushman

Head Mini Cuda Coach
Lisa began swimming in Louisville, Kentucky at Turners Swim Club
and Lakeside Swim Club. She moved to Cincinnati in 1985
and began swimming for ABLY. Her all time favorite coach was Larry
Lyons. She swam 4 years at Saint Ursula
Academy. Lisa began coaching at Mariemont Aquatic Club in
1990, and at Coney Island in 1991. Lisa has also coached the
precompetitive team here at the YMCA.
Lisa joined the ABLY coaching
staff at the beginning of the 2006-2007 season, and is very happy
to be here. Lisa works with the Mini Cudas.
Lisa has a degree in Health
Education from UC and a degree in Elementary Education from NKU.
Lisa and her husband (Coach CJ) live with their two
children in Anderson Township.
Emily Frishkorn-Warden

Head Campbell County Coach
This will be Emily’s second season heading up our
Campbell County location. After a very successful fall and
summer at CCY, Emily is looking forward to continued growth in
Kentucky. Emily has been a part of ABLY for 5 years
now. She is married and has two children.
Andrew O'Neill

Head Red I Coach
Andrew is entering his third season, second as head of the Red
I group. He has also served as an assistant to the Blue
group.
Prior to arriving at the Barracudas, Andrew attended Miami
University. While competiting for the RedHawks, he was two
time All Mid American Confrence (’05, ’06) and is
currently a school record holder.
Andrew is originally from Rockaway, NJ. His coaching
career started with summers at White Meadow
Lake (Rockaway, NJ) as an assistant from 2000-04.
He also coached spring and summers at Lakeland Hills YMCA (Mountain
Lakes, NJ) from 2002-04.
Cathy C Kushner

Head White I Coach
Cathy is a new addition to the AB coaching staff this year.
She is excited about being a coach at the Y since she has been an
employee for the past 11 years in such areas as lifeguarding, swim
lesson instructor, spinning instructor, physical fitness trainer
and preschool teacher. Her most recent coaching experience occurred
at the Mariemont Aquatic Club.
Cathy is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in
Elementary Education. She turned down a swimming scholarship to be
on the rowing team.
She started swimming at the age of 5 and was on the first ever
Anderson Barracuda swim team around the age of nine! She went on to
swim at Turpin High School where she went to State individually all
four years and was an All American Swimmer three of those years.
She is in the Turpin High School Hall of Fame for participating in
cross country, track, swimming and soccer! She went to State a
total of nine times!
Cathy currently resides in Eastgate with her husband Tom and 3
children.
Denise Siegel

Team Trainer
We are pleased to have Denise Siegel for a second year as our
team strength and conditioning trainer. Denise is a certified
personal trainer and works at various places throughout the
city. She will be coordinating and overseeing all of our dry
land and stretching programs. She is married and has one
child, Emma, who swims in the White II group.
Corey Mullins

Head Master Coach
We welcome Corey back from a brief hiatus to run our
Master’s program. Corey has been involved with ABLY for
many years and adds lots of experience with all ranges of
swimmers. Corey has been involved in a couple different
Master’s programs including ABLY. This will be her
second year as head coach for this program.
Richard Tomkins

Escrow/Meet Entry Chair
Richard will once again coordinate all of our escrow funds as
well as overseeing the team entries for meets with the
coaches. He has been a part of ABLY for more than 25 years as
a parent, coordinator and entry chair person. He is married
and resides in Anderson Township.
