Corine Meyer-Riley
Head Coach
Coach Corine is the driving force of the Pirate Aquatics Team.
Corine has more than 20 years experience as a swim coach. She began coaching as an assistant coach with City of Modesto Swim Team before moving on to the SOS Swim Team in 1993 as assistant coach/head age group coach. In 2001 she became head coach of that team and remained there until she moved the team to MJC where they became Pirate Aquatics.
Corine began swimming at the age of 9 and swam through High School (Davis High), MJC and one season with the Cal Poly SLO team. She has a BA in Physical Education from Stanislaus State University, a teaching credential from UOP in both regular and Adapted PE and has been teaching APE in Turlock for 20 years.
Corine is dearly loved by the swimmers and parents of the Pirate Aquatics team not only for her incredible talent and coaching skills but for her gifted ability to encourage and nurture her swimmers from the earliest ages through their swimming career.
