David Fisher

Head Coach

David became head coach of the YMCA Presidio Aquatics Club in September 2009.  Previously he was head coach for six years of the men’s varsity and junior varsity swim teams at St. Ignatius Preparatory School in San Francisco, where he took many swimmers to WCAL and CCS Championship meets.  He has coached and mentored swimmers on every level from beginner level, intermediate level, CCS Champions, All Americans, All-American Relays, Jr. National and National Qualifiers. He also worked with Olympic Gold Medalist and San Francisco native Ben Wildman-Tobriner.  For the past four years, David has been the head coach of the San Francisco Swim Delegation for the International Children’s Games, an Olympic-style annual competition with children from around the world.  David swam in high school and college, and was captain of the San Francisco State University swim team his senior year, where he achieved the fourth highest single-season point total in school history.

DeLorean Reese

DeLorean has been assistant coach at the YMCA Presidio Aquatics Club since the summer of 2008.  DeLorean coaches all levels of swimmers, with a particular emphasis on "Red" Lanes.  Prior to joining the Presidio Pirates, DeLorean coached the youth swim team at the San Francisco Jewish Community Center.  DeLorean swam competitively in high school and college in her home state of Pennsylvania.

Flynn O'Brien

Flynn became an assistant coach at the YMCA Presidio Aquatics Club in the Spring of 2009.  Flynn coaches all levels of the team, with a particular emphasis on "Blue" Lanes.  Flynn has been involved in competitive swimming since the age of 7.  He swam all four years in high school, his senior year as captain, and two years with a junior college where he earned All-American status.  He also played club water polo in Marin, four years in high school, two as captain, and two years with a junior college, his last year as captain, and both years earned All-American.  In early 2008 Flynn came to the Presidio YMCA where he coaches youth water polo and taught swim lessons.

Cary Fulbright

Volunteer Assistant Coach

Cary has been a volunteer assistant coach for the YMCA Presidio Aquatics Club since 2005, and has coached swimmers for over ten years.  Cary swam competitively throughout his childhood and was captain of his high school swim team in his senior year.  He taught swimming for five summers at Trinity School Day Camp in New York City, and also helped coach the Trinity Aquatics Club for two years.  Cary is a masters swimmer at the Presidio YMCA, and an ASCA Level 2 certified coach.

Noah Brown

Associate Director of Youth Development

Noah joined the Presidio YMCA in 2006.  He has been the Community Development Coordinator since 2008 and has worked on providing free swim lesson programming and water safety education to hundreds of youth and families in our city through the YMCA of San Francisco’s Waves for Change program.  Noah uses his experience in grant writing and fundraising to help support bringing underserved youth onto the team as well as expand opportunity for growth and team expansion developing community driven programming to support the swim team and its families.  Noah also has an extensive background in competitive swimming and program development, including collegiate level swimming, experiance as Head Coach for the Foresthill Stingrays for two years and work with the National Swim School Association on curriculum development.
