They returned to Hawaii in 1985 and won the Kamehameha Meet, with 3 swimmers pictured in the Honolulu Star as high point winners. In his 30 years with the Dolphins he has produced age group and high school champions who have broken team, high school, Pacific Swimming, and United States Swimming National records. DCD has placed swimmers on Zone 1-North and Pacific Swimming All-Star teams since 1979. He has coached High School and NCAA division 1 All-Americans as well as Olympic Trials participants. His swimmers have gone on to win coaching honors from CCS Honor Coach to NCAA Division 1 ’Coach of the Year’.For his many contributions to the Daly City community, he was inducted into the Daly City Sports Hall of Fame in April of 2008.
