My name is Jordan
McDaniel. I swam for the Block House Swim Team for 5 years and I've
coached for 3. I also swam for the Vista Ridge Swim Team my
sophomore to senior year, I was 11th in state my senior year
for the 100 Breast, and I was 1st at regionals for the 100 Breast
with a time of 1:01.77, 4th for the 200 Freestyle with a time
of 1:51.52. Breast stroke is without a doubt my favorite stroke so
I have learned a lot about it like the fact that different body
types should swim it differently, and timing is everything. My
freshman year of college i swam and had what I thought was the best
meet I've ever been a part of when we won our Conference meet and
became a Division
2 Conference champion. That was until just last year
when the Tidal Waves won our Divisionals meet. That was a
much more rewarding feeling to see all the kids come together and
work hard throughout the season to come out with the big "W".
I really enjoy teaching what I know to the kids and helping them to
become better swimmers as well as build character and
confidence. I'm am currently studying psychology and will be
at Texas Sate fall semester.

Howdy Ya'll!
My name is Nikki Allen, and yes Coach Lynn is my father, and
Coach (Randall) Allen is my brother. It looks like this team
has become a family affair. I, however, am not without my own
merits. I began when I was 15 teaching swim lessons
for Double R swim school. At the time I was a
competitive swimmer at Round Rock High School competing in the 500
and 200 yard freestyle, I later moved to Cedar Park High School and
swam the same events for them. When I was 16 I began as an
assistant coach for the Steiner Ranch Stars in their first year in
the circuit. I stayed with them as an assistant coach for 2
seasons and in my 3rd season there I became the youngest head coach
in the league. That season we had over 75 of our swimmers
qualify for invitationals and we came in second in our
division.
For the last 5 years I have been developing a swim program at
Tom's Dive and Swim for 3-5 year old kids and children with special
needs. I have spent much of my time figuring out a way to
have young kids fully grasp the concept of body in water
awareness. Trust me, it sounds more complicated than it
is. In the mean time I received a Bachelors degree in
Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in Special Education
from Texas State University. In January I began my teaching
career at Rouse High School teaching content mastery A.K.A The
Co-op. I am very excited to get to know all of you and I
can't wait to get my feet wet again!
