RHAC - Mini-Rays Coordinator
Primary Groups: Mini-Rays Level 1, 2, & 3
Kristin grew up in Charlotte where she met her husband Joe. During their marriage they had moved out of the area which during that time she had three children all boys. When the oldest son asked her if he could swim I immediately took him to the nearest Y that had a team. That is where it all began. With that team just starting up the head coach needed another coach and that is where Kristin stepped in. That was 8 years ago. Since then they have moved back to the area. Kristin is entering her 6th year with the RAYS. With her love for children and attention to detail as she teaches the MINIs brings joy to all around her. Kristin now lives in Fort Mill where she is a substitute teacher.
Coach Kris Martin's attention to the DETAILS in the sport of swimming and putting her loving and caring spin on it for our Mini-Rays is what establishes a great foundation and love for the sport of swmming!

I am a senior at Winthrop University and I am majoring in
Spanish with a minor in International Studies and working on a
second minor in Leadership. I call Lexington, South Carolina home.
My love for swimming started when I was really young, however, I
did not start swimming competitively until around the age of 9. My
freshman year of college I decided to become a certified lifeguard
and swim instructor so that I could get back in the water helping
teach/coach kids the sport I love. At Winthrop, I am a part of the
World Ambassadors club and I help out in the Study Abroad office as
a CEA Ambassador. I would love to one day be able to combine my
love for travel with swimming and go back to countries and
orphanages I have visited to teach them, as well as locals, how to
swim and be safe in and around the water.
