Cos DiFazio is in
his 8th year with BASS and is the Head Site Coach for the BASS
groups that practice at Health Nutz. He currently works as a senior
software architect for Nortel Communications. He has over 30 years
of coaching experience at the USS level and is regarded as one of
the finest stroke technicians in Virginia. He has coached Olympic
Trial Qualifiers, national champions, national record holders, as
well as numerous High School All Americans, top 16 nationally
ranked swimmers, state record holders, and state champions. He
helped start the Fluvanna High School Swim Club and was
instrumental in helping it become a varsity
sport.
Maureen Kuzemka

Maureen Kuzemka currently works as a medical
sales consultant for Allergan Pharmaceuticals. Maureen has swum
competitively for 16 years from childhood into college. She also
has taught Basic Swim Instruction to to Advanced Swim Stroke Clinic
at the Pittston YMCA for 3 years while living in Pennsylvania.
Maureen and her husband Michael moved to Lake Monticello, Virginia
in 1997. They have two daughters Ana and Brin.
Jeff Faust

is in his
second year coaching in Fluvanna since rejoining the BASS coaching
staff last fall and was instrumental in coaching with FAST this
past summer. He helped to establish and run the Culpeper High
School swim team before moving to Northern Virginia. He will be
working with the BASS program to ensure that strength and
flexibility training are an integral part of the training
program.
Julie Domecq

is in her 2nd
season helping with the BASS red, white, and blue groups that
practice at Health Nutz. She swam competitively for 16
years. She was Louisiana States Champion in the sprint
freestyle events. She completed her swimming career at the
University of Virginia. She was a member of the first ACC
Championship swim team, was Capitan of the swim team for one year,
made ACC Honor Roll all four years in college, an All-American
swimmer, and was a member of the NCAA 200 freestyle relay that
placed 10th in the country. Julie is a RN that works at
the University of Virginia and lives in Lake Monticello with her
husband, Greg. They have three children, Christine, Derek,
and Catherine.
Greg Switzer

works as
a Senior Financial Consultant for TIAA-CREF. He has been involved
with USA Swimming for 5 years. Greg started in Pittsburgh where he
got his USA certification as a Stroke & Turn Official. He
brought his experience to Virginia in 2005 and also became USA
certified as a Starter. In addition to his officiating experience,
he has helped coach the pre-senior group of BASS for the past 3
years, assisted with the Winter Stroke Clinics and helped coach the
older swimmers on the FAST summer swim team.
Diana Bowen

just
completed her second winter as a BASS coach is looking forward to
her third season of coaching with FAST. Diana competed
competitively for 12 years and has coached for the past six. Diana
is enjoying her transition to FAST and will work with all age
groups
