Attached you will find the meet flyer for the Piranha Swim Team BRW Meet in Palm Springs, California.  This is an age group meet with some OPEN events (5-6, 7-8, 10 & Under, 11-12, 13-up and OPEN). Meet qualifying times are Southern California BRW (Blue, Red, White) standards. This means any swimmer is eligible to swim in their age group as long as it is a BRW event. There are some events that require swimmers to meet the BR (Blue, Red) faster time standards in order to swim that event (see attached meet flyer). Swimmers in OPEN events must be at least 11 years old and have achieved a time equal to or faster then the listed OPEN event qualifying time in the meet flyer. ALL ENTRY TIMES MUST BE THE BEST RECORDED TIMES IN THE EVENT FROM THIS OR THE PREVIOUS LC SWIM SEASON.  NT (NO TIME) MAY BE USED TO ENTER BRW EVENTS ONLY. TIMES MAY BE VERIFIED AGAINST THE SWIMS DATABASE. 
 
This is a family travel meet.  Families must make all their own travel arrangements for the meet.  Coaches will be on deck at the meet to take care of the swimmers during the course of the meet.  IF YOUR SWIMMER(S) WANTS TO BE ENTERED IN THIS MEET, YOU MUST NOTIFY MELISSA VIA E-MAIL (mbripley56@msn.com) NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27TH.  FAILURE TO NOTIFY MELISSA VIA E-MAIL BY THE OCTOBER 27TH ENTRY DEADLINE WILL RESULT IN YOUR SWIMMER(S) NOT BEING ENTERED IN THIS MEET.  NO ONE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED IN THIS MEET. PLEASE SPECIFY WHAT DAYS YOU WISH TO BE ENTERED IN THE MEET OR IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON SWIMMING THE ENTIRE MEET – SEE MEET SCHEDULE BELOW.  THIS SHOULD BE A TERRIFIC MEET AND WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OUR RIO FAMILIES TO ATTEND THIS MEET.
 
PLEASE NOTE THIS MEET IS AFTER THE HIGH SCHOOL SWIM SEASON SO ALL HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE.
 
Hotel Information:  It is recommended by the Piranha Head Coach that we try and book rooms at the newly renovated Holiday Inn – Palm Springs City Center. See hotel information below and also listed in the attached meet flyer. In order to get the $85 + tax rate per night you must tell the agent that you are with the Palm Springs Swim Meet. I would not wait to make hotel reservations, rooms tend to get booked pretty quick. If you are unable to get a room at the Holiday Inn additional local hotels can be found on the Piranha web-site – www.piranhaswimteam.org. Look for the Hosted Meet Info and click on it.
