Ted Mullin - Hour of Power Relay (for cancer research) |
|
Description
Location: NU pool
Time: During regular practice hours
Ted, a New Trier High School graduate, was a junior at Carleton
College when he lost his battle with cancer in September
2006. The Mullin family were involved with our club for many
years.
We are one of over 100 teams participating in theThe Hour of
Power relay this year. The Hour of Power consists of
"continuous relays, any stroke, all-out swimming, for one hour,
with the objective of keeping all relays in each pool on the same
length".
*** Each practice group will complete the relay
within their own group during regular practice at a level
appropriate to the group.***
We are suggesting that a $15 donation be made for each swimmer
participating. Swimmers do not need to make a donation to
participate and obviously larger donations are always welcome.
The Booster Club will provide pizza, drinks & a cap for all
participants. Please sign-up for the event if you intend
participating so that we know how many to cater for. (If you are
able to help serve the pizza and drinks please sign-up by clicking
on the "Job Sign-up" button.)
Donations will be collected on the night. Checks should be
written to "The University of Chicago" and write “Ted Mullin
Fund for Sarcoma Research” in the memo line.
Please sign-up to attend this great team building
exercise and support this very worthy cause.
