Breakout! Swim Clinic featuring Olympic Gold Medalists Josh Davis
and Lacy Nymeyer.
The clinic will run from
8am-12noon, during which time
all swimmers in attendance will receive comprehensive istruction on
all aspects of competitive swimming. Working both in and out of the
water swimmers will focus on stroke technique, starts and turns,
and race strategy. In addition everyone will receive a
“Breakout!” T-shirt, Poster, DVD, and autographed
photo. Breakout Swim Clinics are held all over the country through
USA Swimming Clubs and provide a different and exciting way of
improving technique for swimmers of all ages and
ability.
The cost for
the clinic is $25, you can sign your swimmer up on swimwow.com by
committing to the event the same way you would to attend a swim
meet.
A little on Josh and
Lacy...
In 1996, Josh Davis made
history as the only man in any sport from any nation to win three
gold medals at the Atlanta Olympic Games. Davis made his second
Olympic appearance in the 2000 Games in Sydney, where he was
elected captain of the USA Men’s Swim Team and took home two
silver medals. He went on to break the American record three times
in the 200-meter freestyle.
In 2008
Lacy Nymeyer won 5 National Titles at the NCAA Championshps, placed
12 at the 2008 Olympic Games in the Women’s 100 freestyle,
and earned a Silver Medal as part of the American Record setting
400m Free Relay in Beijing. In 2009 she was part of the World
Record setting Women’s 800m Free Relay at the FINA World
Championships in Rome, and was named the NCAA Woman of the
Year.
