Following
the clinic WOW will host a special evening with Josh and Lacy. The
banquet, “Go for the Gold: An Evening with Olympians”,
will feature speeches by the two Gold Medalists, our $1,000 Raffle,
and a silent auction. The event, which is being advertised
throughout the community and is open to the public, will be a
celebration of our sport as we raise awareness in Wilmington for
the need for a modern swimming
facility.
Informal talks are underway with a
local developer, and momentum in the community to build a pool has
been growing for years. Don’t miss this very special evening,
and pass the word along to your friends and family. Information on
the banquet and reservation instructions will be on swimwow.com for
the general public to
access.
WOW
families will reserve online by indicating their intent to attend
and noting how many will attend in the notes section of signup(just
like when signing up for a
meet).
The banquet will be catered by and held at
the newly remodeled Shell Island Resort on Wrightsville Beach from
6-9pm. The cost for the evening will be $25 per adult and $15 for
kids 10 & Under.
This event, our primary fundraiser for the
year, is a first for the club. We want the day and night to be an
experience that our swimmers and their families will always
remember. You can make sure this happens and ensure our continued
growth as an organization and the most successful swim club in the
region by atteding the day’s events. Your continued support
of the program and special events like this help us ensure that
your child receives the best, most comprehensive, and advanced
instruction available. We look forward to sharing this day with all
