Description
Location: Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham, OR
Eligibility: This meet is open to all USA Swimming registered
athletes from the
designated LSC’s aged 11 to 14 years, who have met the IMX
score requirements.
Swimmers qualify for the meet by having met the IMX minimum point
total during the
previous winter (short course season of 2008-9), summer (long
course meters season of
2009) or in the portion of the short course season directly
preceding the meet (fall of
2009), as follows:
[10-year old girls 2100 points]*
[10-year old boys 2000 points]*
11- 12-year old girls 2100 points
11- 12-year old boys 2000 points
13- 14-year old girls 2100 points
13- 14-year old boys 2000 points
Qualifying IMX point totals need to be confirmed through the USA
Swimming Website
(click on “Time/Time Standards,” then click on
“Find Your IM Extreme Challenge
Ranking”).
Please note that many swimmers attending the meet will have
achieved their qualifying
IMX totals while swimming in younger age groups, and would have had
to meet the point
minimum for those younger age groups.
* Also note that while there are no 10 and Under age groups or
swimmers at this meet,
many swimmers competing as eleven-year olds may have qualified as
ten-year olds; in
that case, girls would have had to score 2100 or higher, boys 2000
or higher.
