TEAM AT IVC
The Marin Pirates Masters Swim
Team, located at College of Marin’s Indian Valley Campus in
Novato, California, is a new branch of Marin’s most
established competitive swim team. We are eager to embrace all levels of adult swimmers
(19+).
- Beginners
- Fitness lap swimmers
- Triathletes & open water
swimmers
- ex-swimmers returning to the
water
- Year-round masters-level competitors
(local/national/international)
A member of the American Swimming
Coaches Association, Head Coach, Cokie Lepinski, is certified as a
Masters coach and is also certified as a coach with USA
Swimming. She has organized and coached several swim clinics
specializing in development of stroke technique. With a
background in teaching and training, she brings to her coaching an
approach that reaches a wide variety of learning
styles.
- All workouts are run by a coach on deck, no
dry erase boards!
- Five 75
minute workouts per week at IVC’s 25 yard by 50 meter heated
pool
- Coaching staff will attend optional meets for
interested swimmers.
- Monthly technique clinics offered by Warren
Lager
- Weekly long course practice in Marin’s only
50 meter pool!

Welcome to the Marin
Pirates!
The
Marin Pirates Swim Team is a year-round USA Swimming Team that is
open to competitive swimmers of any age and skill level. The
Pirates serve all of Marin County with programs in Northern Marin
(at College of Marin’s IVC Campus) and Southern Marin (at
College of Marin’s Kentfield
Campus).
During
the past 30 years, the Marin Pirates have developed into a
national caliber swim team that is one of the premiere programs in
the San Francisco Bay Area. The team has earned a reputation
for it’s healthy perspective about the value of sports
in the lives of our community’s youngsters. The Marin Pirates
Swim Team offers a proven environment that prepares children and
young adults for success in swimming and in
life.
