The Mississippi Makos Swim Team has been offering year round competitive swimming for ages 5 to 18 since 1991. Practices are held at the Lakeland Courthouse, Cypress Lake Courthouse (Northeast Courthouse during cold weather), and at the Baptist Healthplex-Clinton. Our emphasis is on teaching each child proper stroke techniques, games and "fun" workouts, coupled with a sportsmanship emphasis. The Makos long-range goal is that of optimum fitness without burnout for swimmers of all ability levels.
