06/27/2009:  US Open - August 4 - 8, Junior Nationals - August 10 - 14, 5K Grand Prix Open Water - August 9. Click on the yellow logo banner to the left for more information.  Since these are happening at KCAC local volunteers are neeed.  Please look over the volunteer dutiesthat are needed.  
06/25/2009:  New information has been posted on the Open Water page.  Also, information will posted soon on the USA Swimming 2009 5K Open Water Grand Prix meet that will be held on August 9th at Angle Lake Park in SeaTac, WA.  
06/22/2009:
Safety Training for Swim Coaches courses. Both will be at Hazen Pool.  Students must pre-register for the class. No form to fill out, just call to register or online @ www.rentonschools.us

06/22/2009: The USA Swimming Splash Bash is back! Last year’s Olympic year recruiting campaign is back! The program had 1,250 local parties with plenty of local media coverage for our host clubs. In 2009, clubs will be able to watch NBC’s broadcast of either the World Championship Trails or World Championships and showcase their club. The goal of the program is to generate local excitement around the events and leverage that excitement to assist with our clubs’ recruiting efforts. go to the Splash Bash web site.  
06/21/2009: The members of the North American Challenge Cup team that will represent Pacific Northwest Swimming have been selected.  Congratulations to each of the selected athletes.  Please read the entire posting on the PNS North American Challenge Cup page.         06/15/2009: Attention PNS board members and interested others.  This year’s USAS Convention will be in Chicago, September 15-20.  The hotel is the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.  This link  has all the information you will need to attend this year’s convention. Fill out this  PNS Convention Application form. If you are interested please contact the pns office.  

06/05/2009: There is a new page that we hope will become a source for Open Water swimming for our members.  Hover your mouse over the Meets tab and you will see the drop down list with the Open Water page listed.

 
06/01/2009: On May 19, 2009, FINA issued a list of swimsuits approved for competition. The approved list, which was effective immediately and is attached, includes 202 swimsuits. Read the entire posting from USA Swimming.
