Welcome to STAT, a year-round, competitive swim team for swimmers ages 7-18 years old and all abilities.  STAT’s goals are to give swimmers the best coaching available, increase their skills and confidence (both in and out of the pool), create lasting friendships, have fun, and most of all give them a life-long interest in swimming and leading a healthy, active lifestyle.  Morning and afternoon - evening programs are available and run from early September ’08 thru late July ’09.

STAT is coached by Boris and Luba Rybatsky, and Karen Fralen, some of the area’s finest USS Certified Coaches with a combined 75+ years experience.  All of our coaches, as members of the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

STAT swimmers range from young beginners all the way to accomplished high school swimmers.  Over 36% of our swimmers have level A times or faster; team accomplishments from the 2008-2009 short course season include:

• 1  Senior Nationals  and USA Open qualifier     
• 2  Junior Nationals qualifiers
• 3  Sections qualifiers and finalists
• 2  Eastern Zone qualifiers and Champions
• 1  Virginia State Champion
• 5  Virginia Age Group Champs finalists

STAT is a local, parent-coach run team, ensuring that all decisions are made in the best interests of the swimmers and fostering a positive team environment.  We are a non profit club, run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and are encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. We welcome new swimmers & families - please feel free to ask another member or coach any question you may have!
