Condors Soar at Home!
The Condors had a successful second home meet for the 2013 Long Course Season! There were a lot of tough swims as well as first time swims in the 400 free, 400 IM, 800 free, and the 1500 for our young athletes. We had 28 Junior Olympic qualifying swims on Day 1 including Trystan Ng breaking a Condors Team Record that lead the way for a great weekend.
On Day 2, Jeffery Ma (100 Fly), Trystan Ng (50 Breast) and Michael Dwyer (50 Back) made the qualifying time standard for the Eastern Zone Championship Meet. There were many new qualifying swims for Junior Olympics including: Melissa Mungroo, Haleigh Marzano, Edward Park, Michael Daly, Grace Dwyer, Meghan Ramundo, Taylor Negast, Michael Kantar, Daniel Trincher, Katie Adorable and Charles Hicks.
Day 3 wrapped up with even more fast swimming including Jeffery Ma (50 fly and 50 free) qualifying for the Eastern Zone Championship and Cassie Freeman (800 & 1500 Free) for Senior Mets. The new Junior Olympic qualifiers included: Jimmy Dwyer, Sean Doherty, Jeffery Ma, Andrew Stolarski, Kristina Organist, Michael Daly, Michael Kantar, Edward Park, David Kantar, Daniel Trincher and Kelly Malyszka.
Great swimming across the board and congratulations to all those swimmers who made first time Zones, Junior Olympic and Senior Met times. We look forward to adding more to the list as the senior group heads to Rutgers in the next couple of weeks. Special thank you to all the volunteers and parents who helped to make the meet such a success!
Congratulations to Carly Cummings,Francesca Arciniegas and Trystan Ng for breaking Condors Long Course team records this season! Records will be updated once official the official results are available.
