The WAVE
coaching staff is committed to teaching children how to be WINNERS
in the pool and in life. WAVE coaches use swimming as a tool
to teach your children valuable life lessons and values, such
as, Work Ethic, Selflessness, Discipline, Mental Toughness,
Confidence, Integrity, Determination, Sportsmanship, Respect, and
Self-Reliance.
WAVE SWIMMERS RECEIVE NATIONAL
HONORS
11 New Wave swimmers made the
Scholastic All-America Team for USA Swimming.
With 11 swimmers that is more than double the number of
swimmers from any other swim team in Raleigh. The swimmers
receiving the award are: Caroline Carlisle, Allison Hendren,
Alicia Huther, Nina Mascia, Katie Olson, Abby Vance, Michael
Garbarino, Christian Mason, George Ramsay, Richard Upton, and Kenny
Yacynych. CONGRATULATIONS for your hard work in the pool and
school. Here is information on the honor.
The Scholastic All-America program
is open to all 10th-12th grade USA
Swimming members who earn a 3.5 GPA or better and achieve a Junior
National Bonus Time Standard or swim in a selected disability
championship meet or the Open Water National
Championships. The program begins each July
1st and continues through June
30th of the following
year. Applications, including a copy of the
official year-end school transcript and a copy of the
swimmer’s times, are due on August 1st of
each year. Applications for the 2009-2010
year will be available in March 2010.

photos, some web links, as well as an Alumni Section. If
you want to submit photos for the site you can send them
