It has been an
incredible year for the Community YMCA of Red Bank. We have
had so many opportunities to celebrate our accomplishments both in
and out of the pool!
During the 2009/2010 short course
season we saw 6 new swimmers make their first YMCA Nationals cuts
and In April we took the largest Red Bank National Team to
Fort Lauderdale - 28 swimmers!
In May we graduated 12 seniors many
of whom were National Team swimmers and most will go on to swim in
College.
Our Head Coach, Jack Caucino, was
re-elected to the YMCA of the USA National Coaches Association for
another term.
Jack was also selected to be a Coach
at the YMCA Altitude Training Camp at the Olympic Training Center
in Colorado Springs, CO. 3 of our swimmers were selected from
a pool of applicants based on their performance at YMCA Short
Course Nationals - Megan Foran, Harrison Cefalo and Lisa Zhang will
join other swimmers from around the USA in Colorado in August.
During the 2010 Long Course Season
- 4 new Long Course National qualifiers made their first
Y-Nat's cuts. Congratulations to Kim Torres (16 years old),
Dean Shafritz (13 years old), Alex D'Anna (14 years old) and Chris
Vadala (14 years old).
At The Community YMCA of Red Bank,
every swimmer has the opportunity to perform up to their greatest
potential!
