From Coach
Di
My thanks to each and every
swimmer and parent who helped run our meet this past weekend. It
was a great success because of you all. The snack bar was perfect.
New Snackbar moms Ningrit and Amy did a wonderful job we applaud
you for a fantastic first time effort. Kate, thank you for the
extra effort you made for the coaches and officials and the
preparation you did at home. Ali, for preparing the eggs
at home to help us get rolling sooner in the morning. Mikaila
for printing & selling the program. Officials and Kevin for the
new platform and time on the deck. Set up and take down have
never been so quick and effortless thanks to all our
swimmers’ help. Never before have so many swimmers been
involved and this really made the load lighter for us. Amanda, who
did not even have a swimmer participating, spent the whole
weekend doing awards with her helpers Ellin and Andy Those who came
to help, even though you had no swimmers there, we give you
thanks.
Thanks to our coaches who all
excel at what they do. I have never been happier with our coaches.
We are so fortunate to have such an awesome group who do an amazing
job with each and every swimmer.
Gary, Kiersten and Terrie for
all the hard work in the back room on the computer and of course
Gary for all the hours setting up the entries for the
meet.
We made the most money at
this meet in the history of PS Thank you everyone!! These
profits will be used for coaches’ travel and will go back
directly to support our swimmers.
How proud I was to walk on
the deck and see such great kids, participating in something so
healthy and good for them.
Parents and coaches were so
happy with their performances. The lessons learnt and the
fact that we ran such a flawless meet makes the hard work all
worthwhile.

Pacific Swim Holiday Charity
– Adopt-A-Family Each year, Pacific Swim
sponsors a charitable cause over the holiday season. This year,
with the need in the community greater than ever, PS has decided to
adopt seven families for the holidays, one for each PS group,
through the Poway Unified School District. Each PS group will
receive a family’s “wish list” that includes
basic necessities and modest gifts. Please contact Kim
Chevallier KandCDC@aol.com with questions. If you’d
prefer to make a cash donation, the Adopt-a-Family program is a
501(c)(3) organization, making donations tax deductible. The
following moms have volunteered to be the support co-ordinators for
their respective groups:
Novice: Gabrielle
