Congratulations to Woodburn
Barracuda’s own Katie Palmer for earning a chance to compete at the OSI Swim
Championship meet held in July of 2009. Eleven year-old Katie
found out all her hard work in the pool day after day paid off. She
qualified for and swam in two events at the state meet: 100M
Breaststroke and 200M Individual Medley in which she came in
16th and 13th respectively. Her 100M
Breaststroke time was 1.38.15 and her 200M IM time was
3.08.07. The top eight finishers at the state championship
meet got to go to the Zone championship meet which was held in
Hawaii. Katie is working hard hoping to make it to Hawaii next
year. Congratulations, Katie! and keep up the hard work…it
pays off.

WBST is a coach run program with a Parent Booster
Club helping in many ways. There is never too much help so please
get to know us and volunteer to help out. The dues are some of the
lowest in Oregon and the Northwest swimming area.
All of our coaches are USA Swimming registered
coaches as well as members of OSI. All coaches have
access to the most comprehensive training and certification program
for youth coaches of any sport in the United States offered by
American Swim Coaches Association. They provide assurances that the
time children spend in swimming will be quality time.
Barracuda Swimming offers a program at the
Woodburn, Silverton, and Molalla swimming pools. Each program is
unique to its surrounding area and offers a program for ages
starting at 4 years of age.
We are constantly growing and training young
swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. Thank
