North Delta Sunfish Registration Information

Information for new and returning Sunfish families

The North Delta Sunfish offer a wide variety of competitive and developmental water sport programs including Water Polo and Swimming. Our competition season runs from the beginning of May through to the Provincial Finals in mid-August.

What to bring to registration:

• Your chequebook - we are not able to process credit cards, sorry
• Your childrens’ CareCards or birth certificates (CareCards preferred) - they are required for insurance and proof of age

Forms to be filled out at Registration:

• BCSSA form
  filled out once per child - if you have already been a member of the BCSSA in the past, we should have this pre-printed and ready for your signature at registration
• North Delta Sunfish Registration form
  filled out for each child

Program Fees

Please note: All program fees are subject to a $25 per swimmer surcharge for those registering AFTER April 1st.

* Swimmer must feel safe & unassisted in shallow end. No swimming or water polo skills necessary!

Discounts

Please note: Discounts do not apply to new swimmers.

Fundraising Deposits

As in many other volunteer-based sports organizations, a fee is charged for each family and is reimbursed once the appropriate number of volunteer hours are put in. This year we are requiring each swimmer to submit a $75 Fundraising Deposit.  A refund will be given for any volunteer hours completed.

Fee Example

In this example, the Sample Family will register two children, one in swimming, the other in both swimming and water polo.

In addition,1 fundraising cheque is required in the amount of: $150.00

Liability Policy

Due to B.C.S.S.A requirements concerning liability and insurance coverage, registration and payment are required before swimmers are permitted to enter the water for training.

Cancellation Policy

The North Delta Sunfish will be pleased to provide a full refund during the first two weeks of any program, less a $50 fee (Administrative and Provincial Registration fees). Those swimmers required to withdraw from the program due to exceptional circumstances such as medical or family reasons may apply in writing for a pro-rated refund, less administrative and registration fees. All applications for withdrawal and refund must be made in writing to the club Registrar.

Late Registration Policy

Families that register after April 1st will be subject to a $25 late registration processing fee per swimmer.
