Hickory Willow Swimming Association participates in two swimming seasons. A winter season that runs from end of September through mid-March, and then a summer season running from mid-April through July.

New swimmers are allowed to sign up for the team at the beginning of either season. Swimmers normally practice 4 to 6 times a week, ranging from an hour to two hours depending on the skill set of the swimmer.

 

For the Fall/Winter Season of 2009-10
New swimmers will start on Sept. 14th - 6pm at Stagg H.S.  Returning HWSA swimmers will start Sept. 21st, check practice schedule for times.

Escrow Accounts:
ESCROW and MEET ENTRIES . The team will have an escrow account which will be used for your USS meet entry fees (there are no dual meet fees) . When your escrow account falls below a certain level, you will be notified as such or will receive a bill for additional meet entries owed. This money belongs to you, and any unused portion will be credited towards next season, or returned to you should you leave the team.  You can pay by credit card through the teams PayPal account on the link above.  To start the Escrow account the initial deposit will be $100.00 per swimmer in your family that will be participating in USS meets throughout the season.

Family Volunteer Fee:
During the swim season, each family is required to volunteer their services to help run swim meets.  Payment is collected at the beginning of each season of $100.00 per family. The $100.00 is refunded to each family once completion of the requirements below are meet.
     - Volunteer to work 2 dual meets.
     - Volunteer to work 2 sessions at home USS meet the first weekend in January. here are 5 sessions available throughout the weekend.

USS Card: - For 2009-10 Season 
ISI Fees
. All swimmers must register with ISI (Illinois Swimming, Inc). This money is passed directly on to Illinois Swimming and covers your insurance. Your ISI fee is good from Sept 1, 2009 through Aug 31, 2010. Your ISI Fee includes your insurance and the team’s insurance. All swimmers on swim teams across the USA must have this insurance for their team to register and compete.
