Cardinal Diving Club Program Information
Carefully read all the information below BEFORE registering your
son or daughter in the Cardinal Dive Club Program. If you have any
questions or need more information regarding any aspect of the

To register as a member of Cardinal Dive Club,
please do the following AFTER reading all the information included
below:
Registration with Cardinal Dive Club IS A TWO (2)
STEP process beginning with our online registration
system. Once your registration is complete, you will need to join
the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

will get your information and send you a password to enter the

Registering with the AAU is required of all divers and MUST BE
paid prior to any participation in the Louisville Area Diving
Program. Insurance for each diver and our team as a whole is
provided by registering with the AAU. The Insurance Fee is in
addition to The Program Fee and Coaching Fees. This Diving
Insurance is secondary coverage, which means that it takes effect,
only if your primary insurance runs out. The cost for each diver is
$14.00 per year.**

** To keep your
insurance costs down, we have once again opted NOT to use U.S.
Diving’s Insurance Carrier this year because of the much
higher cost. However, if you plan to dive in any U.S. Diving
sanctioned invitational or qualifier meets, you must register as a
FULL ATHLETE MEMBER with United States Diving. The yearly cost is
$75.00 per diver and is in addition to registration with the AAU.
If you plan only to dive in High School or other local AAU Diving
Meets, your registration with the AAU cover your registration
requirements.
FEE SCHEDULE
(All fees subject to change without prior notice)
Program Fees
This is the fee you pay to join the Cardinal Dive Club Program and
is required of each and every diver who participates in the Diving
Program. The Program Fee is $50.00 for the year and is in addition
to all coaching fees and insurance fees and MUST BE paid prior to
any participation in the diving program. This fee helps to defer
administrative costs such as pool rental and club registration, web
site, etc.
Coaching Fees
Coaching fees are set up on a monthly basis and in the
developmental group, is based on the number of days per week for
which your child registers to dive. The coaching fees are as
follows:
- Elite - $225 per month
- Developmental Group- 1 day/ week
$50.00/mo. 2 days/week
$100.00/mo 3 days/week
$150.00/mo 4days/week $120.00/mo
- High School Group - $150.00 per month
Athletes in high school are not allowed to dive in the
Developmental Group due to NCAA rules.
By registering for participation in the Cardinal Diving Club,
each member agrees to recurring monthly coaching fee payments
regardless of the number of days your child attends. Switching of
groups during the middle of a month is not allowed. If your child
decides not to dive during a particular month, a
PARENT will need to notify the Cardinal
Diving Club coaching. Once a payment has been processed there
will be no refunds.
Insurance

CARDINAL DIVE CLUB
PROGRAM POLICIES
- Coaching fees are payable IN FULL, ON TIME, whether or not your
child attends the scheduled practice(s). If your child becomes sick
or injured and misses a number of practices for any reason, you are
still obligated to pay unless you make arrangements with the
Cardinal Dive Club Staff.
- All practices will, during the year will take place at the
Ralph Wright Natatorium on the campus of the University of
Louisville. For directions, please visit the website at
www.louisvilleareadiving.com.
- Parents are welcome to sit and watch practice but
PLEASE NO INTERACTION between parent and child
during practice.
PARKING (FEES, CHARGES &
FINES)
- Parking at the University of Louisville is available both at
parking meters and the green parking lots, Passes are available to
Cardinal Dive Club members at a reduced price. For information
concerning these green lot passes, contact parking located in the
parking garage next to the pool.
- UofL and the City of Louisville will issue tickets for
illegally parked cars or to cars that do not display a valid
parking pass. Divers are responsible for payment of any parking
tickets received while on campus for any diving practices or diving
meets.
WEATHER, ETC. AND OTHER
CANCELLATIONS
In the interest of safety for both the divers and the coaches,
Cardinal Dive Club reserves the right to cancel practice due to
inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Louisvilleareadiving.com website will have updates throughout
the day regarding the status of practice on a day when severe
weather or other unforeseen situations are occurring. In addition,
“batch e-mail” will be sent to all divers if possible
to alert you to any possible schedule changes.
