The Cottage Grove Aqua Lions have now made it easier to
join.
To help in the development of our youngest athletes we have
restructured the novice group.
When is
Practice?
The Bronze group practices
Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from
3pm-4pm.
The Silver group
is Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3pm-5pm.
The Gold group
is Monday through Friday 3:30-5:30.
The Highschool
group is Monday through Friday 4pm-6pm.
I’m not sure about swim
meets.
Not sure about competing in the big US Swim
Meets. Everyone starts
somewhere. Now the Bronze group will learn how
swim meets work by first competing in low key/low pressure novice
meets. When the swimmer is ready to compete in
USS meets they can move up to the Silver group.
How old do you have to be to
join?
If you are able to swim freestyle and backstroke or
pass level 6 in swimming lessons, you are ready to join the
CGAL
Bronze Group!
What Will This
Cost?
CGAL Bronze Level
The first level of the swim club cost the
same as taking swim lessons. $270.50 for the 6
month season, (September 9th through the end of February), or 6
equal payments of $47.34. This includes monthly
dues, novice meet and tournament entry fees as well as USS
registration fees.
More experienced middle school students and high school
students start at the Gold Level. The cost for the
Gold Level is $546.50 a season or 6 equal payments of 95.64.
Can’t Swim Yet?
Our athletes all started in the Aqua Lion Swim
Lessons. Our swim lessons operate through the South Lane
School District year round, and you can begin at any time.
6:15-7:15pm, Monday and Wednesdays. 4 lessons for
$20. Drop in registration is encouraged.
During the summer time the aquatic center also
offers 2 week sessions.
