Peter Clark, USA Swimming's Eastern Zone Sports Development Consultant, will be in town the week of June 9-16th to meet with clubs and to teach a CLBMS on June 13th at the Wellesley Community Center from 5:30 - 9:30 PM
USA Swimming offers this unique workshop for club coaches and board members to learn how to be effective in leading and governing their teams. Coaches and board members work together in learning about new strategies to improve their clubs.
This course is required for all new clubs. However, it is also highly recommended for all existing programs.If you are a Board Governed program it is also recommended that both the Board Chair and the Head Coach attend.

The three legal responsibilities of nonprofit boards.
Effective ways to communicate on your team.
How to more effectively recruit and retain volunteers.
Characteristics of an effective board-staff partnership.
How to govern more and manage less.
