This past weekend at the Junior Olympics, SRVA was represented by 11 swimmers from the Pre-Senior group. Once again, this group demonstrated their ability to perform under pressure and compete at a high level. They represented our team in the best possible way and the coaches could not be more proud of them.
Gabby Nguyen swam two individual events with a LTB in the 50 Free.
Ava Tseng swam three events with three LTB in the 100, 200, and 400 Freestyle. She was very close to qualifying for Far Westerns just missing the time in the 200 Free.
Brian Choi had a great meet competing in seven events and making finals in six of them. He had a lot of big time drops and swam great all weekend. He placed second in the 200 IM.
Darrell Liu made finals in four events and also had LTB times in the 50 Free, 50 Back, 100 Back, and 200 Back. He placed third in the 50 backstroke which was his highest placing.
Megan Nguyen had some really nice swims in her 50, 100, and 200 Freestyle events. She also swam on the 200 Free Relay which qualified for Far Westerns.
Camila Alonzo swam well in her two individual events, 50 and 100 Free. She was also on two relays that qualified for Far Westerns.
Sara Han had two LTB in the 50 and 100 Freestyle. She also swam on our two Far Western qualifying relays.
Kyla Kelly made three finals with a third place finish in the 200 Butterfly. She had lots of great swims including five LTB times.
