USA Swimming - PNS Officials Clinic

KING needs new officials to replace officials lost when a swimmer graduates or moves up in age group. We NEED new officials who have swimmers that are 10 & Under. If you have been a certified official for your summer league team, you are a natural. However, no experience required to become an official. The PNS instructor and other PNS officials will provide you will all the training you need.

As we are sure you are aware, it takes many volunteers to run a meet. KING, PNS and most importantly our swimmers could use your help. Please consider giving a gift to your child and the thousands of other PNS athletes by volunteering your time. Among many things, we could use more certified officials. Please consider becoming an official - no experience is necessary. It is a great way to satisfy your Service Hours requirement and to learn the sport.

The following clinics are for certification at the positions indicated and will be conducted at the locations indicated. $10 for Stroke and Turn and $5 Starter and Referee is required for initial certification. For Starter and Referee, the attendee must bring their credentials and sessions worked log (remember, you must have served in the previous position for at least one year). Times and instructors will be posted here as they become available. These initial certification classes can also be used as recertification for Starter and Stroke & Turn, the attendee must bring their credentials, sessions worked log and $5.

A brief e-mail to notify the instructor of your intention to attend will help to make sure the instructor brings the appropriate number of resources. Re-certification clinics will be scheduled in the November and December timeframe.
