Team Stars In Harvest Classic (Napa Valley
Register)

The Napa Valley Swim Team hosted its
annual Harvest Classic Swim Meet, where 20 teams and over 500
swimmers competed, last month.
In the girls 8-and-under division, Karenna Meyer earned 100 percent
best times while swimming to a new “Aý time in the 50
breaststroke and a first-place finish in the 100 individual medley
and a second-place finish in the 50 butterfly. Rebecca Reynolds
earned new “Aý times in the 25 backstroke, 50
backstroke, 25 breaststroke, 25 butterfly and 100 IM. Reynolds also
earned a first-place finish in the 200 IM. Quinn Jensen finished
second in the 25 backstroke and 25 butterfly, and third in the 50
freestyle, 50 backstroke, 25 breaststroke, 50 breaststroke, 25
butterfly and the 100 IM. Maya Douglas earned 100 percent best
times. Swimming in their first meet were Frida Garcia and Carmina
Lansangan. Also representing NVST in this age group were Erin Dunn,
Emily Dusky, Natalie Larsen and Grace Wahle.
In the boys 8-and-under division, Robert
Mitchell earned 100 percent best times and achieved new
“Aý times in the 25 freestyle, where he also finished
first, 50 freestyle (second) and the 100 free (second). Mitchell
also finished first in the 50 backstroke and the 25 butterfly and
second in the 25 backstroke. Cayd Roberts earned new
“Aý times in the 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke and he
finished first in the 100 freestyle, 25 and 50 breaststroke, 100
and 200 IM. William Fallini-Haas earned new “Aý times
in the 25 and 50 backstroke and placed second in the 50 butterfly,
200 IM and third in the 50 backstroke. Barret McMichael earned 100
percent best times. Also representing NVST in this age group were
Nicholas Cisco, Joey Douglas, Will Flanders, Sam Hebb and Patrick
Smorra.
In the girls 9-10 division, Megan Minor achieved 100 percent best
times and nine first-place finishes. She achieved a new National
Reportable Time in the 200 IM; new “AAAAý times in the
50 freestyle, 50 butterfly and the 100 butterfly; and a new
“AAAý time in the 100 breaststroke. Minor achieved
first-place finishes in the 200 IM, 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 100
butterfly, 100 breaststroke, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 200
backstroke and the 100 IM.
Nathalie Brewster achieved 100 percent
best times and a new “Aý and Junior Olympic time in
the 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. She also achieved a new
“Aý time in the 100 backstroke and new Junior Olympic
times in the 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke and the 200 IM.
Isabelle Calforda achieved eight best times and a new
“BBý time in the 100 freestyle. Kathleen Schafle
achieved eight best times and a new “BBý time in the
100 breaststroke and a new “Bý time in the 50
freestyle. Maddie Perna achieved seven best times and a new
“Aý and Junior Olympic time in the 50 butterfly and
the 100 IM. She also achieved new “Aý times in the 100
backstroke and the 200 IM. Isabelle Corley achieved six best times
and a new “BBý time in the 200 freestyle. Annika Jean
Erickson achieved seven best times. Olivia Ha-Hoang achieved five
best times. Achieving 100 percent best times were Camille Jeanty,
Celine Parra and Hannah Smorra. Also representing NVST in this age
group was Natalie Guthrie.
In the boys 9-10 division, Jack Hebb swam to 100 percent best times
and finished third in the 200 IM. Also achieving 100 percent best
times were Quinn McMichael, Brock Swanson and Clark
Williamson.
In the girls 11-12 division, Alex
Swanson swam to eight best times and a new Far Western and
“AAý time in the 100 breaststroke, where she also
finished first. Swanson also achieved a new Far Western time in the
50 breaststroke (third place), a new “AAý time in the
200 freestyle and a new “Aý and Junior Olympic time in
the 100 freestyle. Swanson also swam to a second-place finish in
the 200 IM and a third place finish in the 50 backstroke. Ashley
Amundson achieved seven best times and a new “BBý time
in the 200 IM. Amundson also achieved a new “Bý time
in the 100 freestyle.
Shania Stagner achieved 100 percent best times and swam to a new
“BBý time in the 50 freestyle. Emily Stephens achieved
seven best times and a new “BBý time in the 50
backstroke. Madeline Cline achieved five best times and a new
“Bý time in the 50 breaststroke. Joanna Haas achieved
a new “BBý time in the 100 butterfly and a new
“Bý time in the 100 breaststroke. Riley Hebb achieved
seven best times and a new “Bý time in the 50
freestyle. Chloe King achieved seven best times and a new
“Bý time in the 50 freestyle.
Elizabeth Schafle swam to 100 percent best times. Izzy Barrett
achieved two best times, a new “Bý time in the 100
butterfly and a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke. Elyssa
Jane Erickson achieved five best times. Mia Facey swam to three
best times. Madi Anderson achieved two best times. Rose Ballantine
swam to a best time as did Leigh Jensen. Lauri Victor swam in her
first meet. Stephanie Lockett also represented NVST in this age
group.
In the boys 11-12 division, Miles McArdle achieved seven best
times, a new Junior Olympic time in the 100 IM, a new
“Aý time in the 100 butterfly and a third place finish
in the 100 backstroke. Jack Williamson achieved 100 percent best
times and a new “Bý time in the 50 freestyle. Andrei
Astafyev earned 100 percent best times. Louis Ayers achieved six
best times. Rio Barnes achieved six best times. Bradley John
Erickson achieved four best times. Also representing NVST was Noah
Douglas.
In the girls 13-14 division, Marcelina Zavala achieved six best
times and a new “Aý and Junior Olympic time in the 100
backstroke and a new “Aý time in the 200 IM. Elise
Roberts achieved four best times and a new “Aý and
Junior Olympic time in the 100 butterfly. Roberts also achieved a
new Junior Olympic time in the 200 butterfly, where she also
finished first. Roberts also won the 100 breaststroke.
Chloe Hubbard achieved a new Junior Olympic time in the 100
freestyle. Bridget McLoughlin achieved six best times and a new
“Bý time in the 500 freestyle. Megan Morris swam to
first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100
backstroke and the 200 IM. Ximena Mendieta achieved three best
times and a second-place finish in the 500 freestyle. Leanne Woods
achieved four best times.
In the boys 13-14 division, Seth Anderson achieved a new
“AAý time in the 100 freestyle, where he also finished
third; a new “Aý time in the 100 freestyle, finishing
third; a new Junior Olympic time standard in the 200 breaststroke
and second-place finishes in the 100 butterfly, 200 IM and the 500
freestyle.
Theo St. Francis achieved a new “AAý time in the 100
backstroke, where he also finished second; a new “AAý
time in the 500 freestyle, finishing first; a new “Aý
time in the 50 freestyle and the 200 IM and a first-place finish in
the 200 backstroke. Hayden Corley achieved 100 percent best times
and a new Junior Olympic time in the 200 breaststroke, where he
also finished third. Corley also achieved a new “BBý
time in the 50 freestyle and the 500 freestyle.
Nick Meyer achieved seven best times and a new “Aý and
Junior Olympic time in the 400 IM, where he also finished first;
new “Aý times in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke
and a new “BBý time in the 100 butterfly. Sam Starr
achieved a new “Aý time in the 200 IM. Cody Dusky
achieved six best times and a new “Bý time in the 100
freestyle. Eric Boessenecker achieved eight best times and a
second-place finish in the 400 IM. Swimming in his first meet was
Omar Saldivar.
In the girls 15-16 division, Corinne Schafle finished second in the
50 freestyle and third in the 200 breaststroke.
Brittany Sicard achieved a new “AAý time and a
second-place finish in the 100 freestyle; a new “Aý
time in the 50 freestyle; a first-place finish in the 100
breaststroke, a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke and a
third-place finish in the 200 IM. Breanna Weber swam to a
second-place finish in the 200 freestyle.
In the boys 15-16 division, McCoy Ayers swam to a second-place
finish in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle and a third-place
finish in the 100 backstroke. Nick Kozlowski achieved a new
“Aý time in the 100 freestyle and swam to a
second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke and a third place
finish in the 200 backstroke. Jesse Risinger swam to first-place
finishes in the 200 freestyle and 200 IM and second-place finishes
in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and the 500 freestyle.
In the girls 17-18 division, Chardonnay Biter-Mundt swam to
first-place finishes in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200
freestyle, 100 backstroke and the 100 breaststroke.
