State Meet Recap
The St. Ignatius boys swimming and diving team
wrapped up their season with an outstanding State Meet over the
weekend. The team finished 16th overall which is
the highest ever team finish in school history. The Wolfpack
were led by senior captain Garrett Mulchrone who finished
6th place in both the 100 butterfly and the 100
backstroke. Both times were automatic All-American times and
school records. Mulchrone teamed up with Brayden Amendola,
Jack Abernethy and Michael Charysh to take 8th place in
the 200 Medley Relay in a school record and automatic All-American
time. The 400 free relay of Charysh, Mark Alvarado, Jaime
Juarez and Mulchrone also eclipsed the automatic All-American time
in setting a new school record and finished 16th.
Michael Charysh took 15th place in the 200 IM setting a
new school record and making the All-American consideration
time. Charysh also broke the six year old 100 free record in
taking 21st. Brayden Amendola set a new varsity
record in the 100 breast and a new F/S record in the 500 free.
