This past
weekend 16 Pirate team members traveled the great distance to USF
to compete in the Zone 3 Championships. Teams from San Francisco to
Ukiah participated, for a relatively small team our swimmers did
well, with several swimmers making it past the preliminaries and on
to finals in the late afternoon.
A BIG thanks
to Anita who volunteered as an official for the entire meet. Of
course to Cary who worked as an assistant coach for the entire
meet, helping Gadi take splits and recording times. And lastly
since this was a Zone 3 meet each team is required to supply staff
to help run the meet. We were given the job of head timer plus
manning a lane for timing. MJ arranged the schedule for the timers,
another big thanks to the parents who stepped in to
help.
Pacific swim
has changed its ranking procedure. They will no longer use BB, AA,
etc…The ranking will be C, B, A, JO, FW, PRT, NRT. So if you
had a BB time it is most likely an A time now.
