NLSC Takes Title & More at Great Alaska Open

Northern Lights Swim Club made a big splash at the Great Alaska Open this weekend.  NLSC traveled to Kenai with 25 swimmers from Anchorage and the Mat-Su and came home today with the team title and more.  NLSC took the men's, women's, and & combined team titles and, in doing so, also scored more points (over 30) per swimmer than any other team at the meet.

NLSC had 7 of the 10 top scoring girls at the meet.  Sam Wicks took first over all with Margot Adams taking third.  Jordan Iverson, Hannah Iverson, Michelle Hawkins, Erin McDuffie, and Jesi Cavanaugh placed 4th, 7th, 8th, 8th, & 10th respectively.  The boys were lead by strong performances from Wyatt Adams, Jeff Frey, and Zak Rockwell who placed 4th, 5th, & 6th respectively.

Among the outstanding races of the meet were the women's 500 free were NLSC placed 1st-8th, and the girls medley relays which swept 1st-3rd in both the 200 and 400 races.
