From BSC president Bil Schultz

...This year’s meet will take place at the Cal State Bakersfield Aquatic Complex, Feb 19-22 and is the culmination of several months of short course training by your children.  This is their opportunity to shine for you in the pool!

Likewise, as swim club parents, this is our opportunity to shine for them by helping in whatever way we can to assure that the meet is run as smoothly and as efficiently as possible.  We will need help in many facets of the meet, but most particularly in the categories listed at the bottom of this letter.  If you are new to swimming…no need to worry.  We have experienced parents that are more than happy to help you get started.  It’s a great way to get acquainted with other swim club parents and show our team unity and pride.  You might even get a pat on the pack from your child!  Or a “Thanks mom/or dad for helping in my meet”.   Wouldn’t that be cool?   Okay….maybe that won’t happen, but please check out the Bakersfield Swim Club website for areas we need help.  First, login to your membership account, click on the CCS Junior Olympic Meet tab, and follow the link to ‘Job Signup’. Your help will be much appreciated and I guarantee you will feel a sense of accomplishment and pride when you walk off the pool deck on Sunday night with your child comforted in the knowledge that you helped pull-off another great BSC hosted championship meet.

Kindly,

Bill Schultz
