Thank You

I would like to take this moment to give a special thanks to all of you who worked (and I do mean worked) this last weekend at the Short Course Junior Olympic Swim Meet.  BSC hosts this meet every year and it is our biggest fundraiser.  Without your help the meet would have been a disaster. It was my first time as the “Meet Director” and if I am considered for the position next year I will strongly consider paying someone else to take it. There were a few glitches as there will always be. It seemed as though the meet had a different glitch(s) each day, from not enough programs, touch pads not working (and no spares), to the ladies restroom plumbing backing up. I felt that 23 hrs and 59 min of each day over that four day event I was “flying by the seat of my pants”, wondering what would happen next. Apparently the glitches weren’t noticed by most as I spoke with hundreds of people throughout the event. The parents, coaches and officials (even the one who fell in the pool), told me that they thought the meet was going great!  This brings me to the only obvious conclusion -You the volunteers made it happen! So without further verbage here goes

 Last Minute Details:  Tony Dunkle: Propane and Food Delivery.  Without him we would have been cold and hungry.   Jeff Cruz:  Without Jeff, I believe the meet would have come to a screeching halt.  The extra things he did are too numerous mention.   Myron Smith and Todd Witwer were the only ones who could light the rental heaters, among their already listed jobs.  Water donation by Colin and Janelle Key.
