Each year North Carolina
Swimming recognizes it’s top performers of the past year
at the North Carolina Swimming Martha McKee All-Star
Banquet.
This year seven WOW
swimmers will be recognized for their achievements over the 2008
Long Course and 2008-2009 Short Course season. Swimmers will
be awarded for Top 5 finishes within the state in their age group,
Top 10 in the Country within their single age, and as NC
All-Stars. NC All-Stars are those swimmers who achieve AAAA
times and appear on the NC Top 5 list in 2 different
strokes.
Recognized for one or more
Top 5 finishes are Ashley Brem(short course and long course),
Abbey Narayan(long course), Zach Hannum(long course), Caroline
Estep(short course), Travis Johns(short course and long course),
Cari Blalock(short course and long course), and Ian McPheters(short
course).
Recongized for one of more
Top 10 USA finishes are Travis Johns(12 Year Old Boys 50, 100yard
Butterfly, 50, 100, 200, 500yard Freestyle, 100, 200yard Individual
Medley, 200yard Backstroke, 50yard Breaststroke) and Cari
Blalock(15 Year Old Women 100 yard and 100 meter Butterfly)
Recognized as North
Carolina Swimming All-Stars are Travis Johns(short course and long
course)Cari Blalock(short course and long course), and Ian
McPheters(short course).
The North Carolina
Swimming Martha McKee All-Star Banquet will be held Sunday April 26
at 1pm. Downtown Charlotte’s Crown Plaza will host the
annual event.
