Islanders Represent Well at NCS
Championships - Hausmann and Krause Swim to More Sectional
Cuts
Seven Islanders
represented their respective high school teams at the NCS High
School Swim Champtionship meet 5/15/09 - 5/16/09 in Concord,
California. The meet was an extremely fast one in which many NCS
High School Records as well as a couple of National High School
Records were taken down by incredibly fast swims. Senior, Michael
Molina and Freshmen, Ben Krause and Chris Hausmann each qualified
to swim 2 individual events at the meet while Junior, Marlena Nip
qualified to swim 1 individual event. Molina made finals in both
the 50 and 100 Freestyles and Hausmann made finals in the 100
Backstroke. In addition, Hausmann swam to two more Sectional Cuts
in the 200 Freestyle (1:47.90) and the 100 Backstroke (54.22) while
Ben Krause earned another Sectionals Cut in the 500 Freestyle
(4:49.86). The Islanders who were represented at the meet
