ATTENTION: Starting
Tuesday, June 16th, space at the RLCC pool will be
EXTREMLY limited. As a result, LARPD has
asked for our team to swim at the Granada Highschool pool as soon
as possible and then move to May Nissen once the reconstruciton is
complete.
As we have already announced Bring-a-Friend to swim day on the
19th as being at RLCC, we will try to stay at RLCC until Friday
June 19th. We do not intend to swim at Granada.
Once May Nissen is complete, the team intends to expand training
to run out of both the RLCC pool and the new May Nissen pool.
This will give us an opprotunity to be a first tier user (we get
the priority) at May Nissen and will allow the team to use the
entire pool and the warm-up pool for Blue Dolphin Swimming
only. The added lane space will be very welcome.
LARPD has requested that we try to change to the following
schedule after the expansion. We would like the input of all
the parents and swimmers on the following:
After the expanstion, the proposed summer schedule would be:
M-R at May Nissen (7:00 to 9:00pm)
Friday at RLCC (7:00 to 9:00 pm)
Saturday at RLCC (8:30 to 10:30 am)
Additioanlly, if the team increases in size over 100 additional
swimmers, we will be running daily practices out of both the RLCC
and May Nissen pools with coaching staff at both sites each day.
The team would then continue to run year round out of May Nissen
and RLCC with additional practice times available from 3:00 pm to
9:00 pm starting in late August.
