The results are in and Dynamo Swim Club has been named by USA
Swimming as the 2008 Swim-a-Thon Champions (
click here). Thank you to all Dynamo swimmers who
gathered pledges for the event. Monies raised from the
Swim-a-Thon help our club with various aquatic programs and
facility maintenance, and a percentage is also
given back to USA Swimming to support their efforts.
There are over 500 Swim-a-Thons conducted annually in the United
States. To be named the 2008 Champions says a lot about
the dedication of our swimmers. The difference between first
and second place was less than $130 dollars - every pledge was
important!
Special thanks go out to Joann Lockard, Kaye Browning, and
Gloria Davis, the organizers of the 2008 Swim-a-Thon, and the
many parent volunteers that made the event possible.
