KING Women Win National Championship (Updated)

King Aquatic Club won the team championship for club women at the 2009 USA Swimming Long Course National Championship yesterday at the Indiana University/Purdue University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. KING scored 167 points beating out second place Bluefish Swim Club and third place North Baltimore Aquatic Club.

Ariana Kukors also earned a spot on the USA National Team that will compete in Rome at the World Championships. Kukors will participate in the 200 Individual Medley (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images North America) and the 800 Freestyle Relay events.

Kukors also placed seventh in the womens individual high point award scoring 47 points. Other KING swimmers Margaret Hoelzer placed 21st (32 pts), Andie Taylor placed 23nd (29 pts), and Megan Jendrick placed 26th (25 pts).
