Winter Heaven (SSS) was in top form at this weekend’s
Final Fling in Homer. His time of 1:57.47 bettered the
existing 200 yd Fly record of 1:58.23 set by Robin Blume-Kohout
(MSST) set back in 1993. Nice swim Winter!
Winter will also be flying down to Gresham, OR to
participate in the Senior Sectional Championships July 21-25, 2009!
**During Senior Sectional’s in Gresham, OR Winter broke
another Alaska State record for the 100 LCM Butterfly with a time
of 57.13! This time also qualifies Winter for a Junior
National’s on August 12, 2009 in Federal Way, WA...

Winter Heaven, a 15-year-old who attends Soldotna High
School, set a new state record in the 15- to 16-year-old,
1DO-meter
butterfly with a time of 57.13 seconds. Heaven was swimming at

the Long Course Sectional Competition in Mt. Hood, Ore. Heaven
broke Cody Brunette’s year-old record in the Bonus Final
heat. He
placed 26th. He also qualified to USA Swimming’s Junior
Nationals.
