Notable swims for the Thunderbolts on the
second night of the Senior Sectionals at MHCC:
- The Thunderbolt 15-16 men’s 200-meter
Medley Relay team of Aaron Young, Gabe Rooker, Neil
O’Halloran and Steven Ung finished
5th with a new
15-16 OSI State Record, shattering the old record by over 5
seconds! Their time of 1:47.25 also sets a new Team Record,
bettering the old record, set in 1990, by over 6 seconds.
- Gabe Rooker (15) finished
10th with a Jr. National time in the 200 Breast;
- Quincy Lee (20) achieved a
Jr. National time in the 100 Free;
- Sarah Cruzan
(17) finished 5th with a US Open time in the 200
Back;
- Connor McCarroll (18)
finished 2nd with a US Open time in the 200
Back;
- Taylor Lakey
(17) finished 2nd with a Jr. National time in the 200
Butterfly;
- Neil O’Halloran (15)
finished 3rd with a Jr. National time in the 200
Butterfly;
- Quincy Lee (20) finished
11th in the 200 Butterfly with a Jr. National
time;
- Kathleen
McCarroll(14) finished 9th in the 200 Butterfly.
Her time was just 2-tenths of a second short of the Team
Record.
